Synopsis: While collecting volcanic rock specimens west of Socorro, New Mexico, Kamen Gabriel, a Geology Professor uncovers a .45 pistol. Within seconds he is surrounded by police helicopters and arrested.
Days earlier the Governor's wife, First Lady Angelica Esperanza, went missing. And just hours before Gabriel's arrest, her body is found nearby, lifeless with a single gunshot to the head. The bullet is linked to the gun found.
An investigation of Gabriel's telephone records reveals calls from the First Lady as well as records from the gun shop where the pistol was purchased in his name. It becomes clear that he's been the unwitting victim of a conspiracy that leads all the way to the Governor.
